I second Brian's posting. Spent most of my work years in Broadcasting, and
have used modeling programs
for years. But most highly successful low band antennas require the time to
take measurements and
work out the math. I also recommend ON4UN's "Low Band DXing".

measure the self- and mutual-driving-point
impedances to calculate network values that will produce equal currents at
the phase angles procedure outlined in Chapter 11, section 3.2.2
of ON4UN's "Low Band DXing" to do this several times.
