After watching and drooling over the reports of the past few days
where the mainland is working DX like 20 meters, the propagation
gods have moved to the Pacific.
Today I arose and hit the button at 1500Z and right there on the dial
was OH3XR calling CQ, 579 signal, I thought it was a pirate at first,
I tuned down a few KHZ and called CQ, worked as many as I could
pull out of the QSB and QRN crashes, 38 EU stations and some
were 579 or better signals, amazing, sounded like 2008, 2009
conditions, About 15 mins after sunrise I heard T6LG calling CQ
and he came back on my first call, no new ones worked but quite
a few new callsigns. Also TF4M called in which was quite a
surprise to hear Thor.
Makes all the "blank" days worth while. 73 Aloha Merv K9FD/KH6
