Subject: Topband: Signal attenuation from foliage near 160m antenna Without doubt foliage has measurable effects on the antenna when it is close to a voltage point (speaking from experience with loops), so Carl's findings make good sense. Bob VE7BSDetuning of low band mobile antennas, can take place when close to trees/foliage. Voltage point corona discharge may be visually noticeable when running higher power. 73 Bruce-K1FZ www.qsl.net/k1fz/bogantennanotes/index.html _________________ Topband Reflector |
