What patterns would be available to me given the roughly quarter wavelength spacing? Most desirable directions are NE to EU and W to California.


The only significant pattern or directivity change with 1/4 wave spacing of any antennas is end-fire. Broadside will have little advantage, unless it is to null one side (in which case it is actually an endfire-endfire combination).

This means the base cells have to be somewhat in line with the direction or directions you want to null or peak.
