Let this message serve as a reminder that the Summer version of the Stew
Perry Topband Distance Challenge is fast approaching and will take place
this weekend.
This is an opportunity to give the band a try when the Southern Hemisphere
is enjoying winter conditions and their shortest exposure to the sun.
Often - this is a good chance to work some VK, ZL and possible a ZS
station. If nothing else - it serves as a great warm-up for the PreStew in
October - or the big Stew in December.
You can find the complete rules at www.kkn.net/stew - or just get on the
air between 1200Z June 20th and 1200Z June 21st and exchange grid squares
with everyone. Email your Cabrillo log to tbdc@contesting.com to make the
distance score listings.
I will be testing a new QTH with some sort of compromise antenna - so the
mighty K7RAT signal might be a bit weaker than normal.
