I was just quicky checking 80 m but, as you said, I had QRN. I have hunted
down most of the QRN sources on 160 but have not done that for 80. Also, the
QTH was unique: In Anaho Bay on Nuku Hiva Island, there were steep cliffs on
three sides, only open from NW to NNE. For W3 probably just OK. I got great
reports from W7 on 160, pretty poor from FL. TKS for calling anyway.
Too bad I did not get my FO license, it have been good to hand out FO/M on
160.

CQing in the contest without a lot of replies. Must have called you 50
times on 80m. You came back with some "QRZ's?" and a couple of "W3?"
but never pulled me through. Around 0600z. Didnt hear many replies.
QRN issues? My INV-L was giving me a higher than normal swr so might
have had some ice build up. In any case tnx for trying, Mr. DX! Happy Holidays
