None of the rotator manufacturers uses a square footage rating any more.
They have switched to a figure that uses weight and turning radius. Let me
know if you don't have access to this info.

I agree. Pinning the mast will only let you find out what the next weak
point in your system is and it's usually the brake or gear train.
Correcting the calibration of a beam or re-aiming it is only an annoyance
compared to replacing it.

My experience has been that any rotator that lasts six years is about as
much as you can reasonably expect.
