| Hi,
        If the cost is prohibitive for anchor bolts, perhaps you might 
consider making your own from threaded rod.  Well stocked hardware 
centers have a variety of this stuff and I think it usually comes 
in 36 inch lengths.
        Assuming these are going into concrete, you may want to weld (or 
have welded) something to the end that will be in the concrete to keep them 
from rotating, loosening, and being pulled out - but this would also be a 
consideration for preformed bolts.
