As for schedule 80 pipe, you're getting closer there. Problem is,
no one publishes a spec for the yield strength of water pipe,
cause it's not designed to be used as a structural member.
That being said, I had a KT-34XA and 40-2CD on 17 feet (10 exposed)
of sked 80 pipe for 3 years. I did put a slight bend in it
when tramming the XA up. Limited experience here.
