I subscribed to the hamlaw list in November, and got the proper
"bounce back" from the "mailbot" but have yet to receive any hamlaw
messages. Do I have an email problem or have there been no messages?

With that said, does anyone have any information on deed restrictions
or homeowner's association rules that do allow ham antennas and what
the "specs" are and what the language of the declaration looks like.
I have heard anecdotally that some "high end" neighborhoods in
California communities such as Newport Beach, Redondo Beach, San
Mateo, Palo Alto. La Hoya, Palos Verdes, Los Altos, ... allow antennas
if they are retractable, on tubular masts, ..., etc..

If anyone has any information on this, especially if you have sample
language from the declarations of these neighborhoods, or knowledge of
the negociatioins that went on in approving specific installations,
please send the information to me.

     Thanks for the bandwidth,

     John N5CQ

Gentlemen --

While the tower permitting, zoning, etc.. is very near and dear to anyone
involved in a tower or antenna endeavor, TowerTalk may not be the best place
to get intelligent information on legal topics. The BEST place by far (and
it is populated with a bunch of extremely bright and informed individuals)
is the HamLaw reflector. To sign up, send a message to listserver@altlaw.com
with subscribe ham-law in the message. They can clear up your misconceptions
and point you in the right direction for all of your questions and concerns.
 They've been through this before.

Once that hurdle is jumped, TowerTalk awaits your tower and HF antenna
discussions.
