You need to go through the capacity math. Yaesu uses a K-Factor which is
weight times turning radius. The TH11 is 1936 ft.lbs. The Cushcraft K-Factor
is 1056 ft.lbs. for a total of 2992 ft.lbs. The G-1000 rating is 2020
ft.lbs. Doesn't look like the G-1000 will handle it. The G-2800 will take
6870 ft.lbs. The Hy-Gain TailTwister T2X is rated at 3400 ft.lbs. It's a
lot better to under-stress a rotator than run it almost 50% OVER it's ratings
if you'd use the G-1000. Besides, you get more starting and rotating torque
with a bigger rotator which is extremely valuable when trying to turn the
antenna system in a wind. If the rotator is at it's capacity limit, many
times it just doesn't have the oomph to turn the antennas in the wind.

You pays your money and takes your chances.

BTW, for the money the Creates are the better choice - worm gear
drive, very robust gears and a heckuva control box.
