N7QQ, W2IJ and I are currently involved in meetings with the city
of Rancho Cucamonga, CA in an effort to amend our antenna ordinance,
which currently has a 50 foot(crank down to 35 feet when not in
use) limit (and we can only put up one of them).

The planning commission is very receptive (the chairman is a
ham) and after our RACES unit provided communications during a
hillside fire last month, the Mayor loves us. The planning commission
has directed staff to work with us to make a recomendation to the
commission. Now is the time to strike!

We have been asked by planning staff to provide them with other
city ordinances as examples of what we want. We have obtained
most of Orange County ordinances, of which Costa Mesa seems
the best. We have heard that the Los Angeles City and Rancho Palos
Verdes ordinances were great (L.A. supposedly has no height limit),
but have been unable to otain copies of them.

If anybody out there has a copy of either of these ordinances,
please mail them to me at 10722 Arrow Route, Suite 802, Rancho
Cucamonga, CA 91730. Otherwise, I will need to drive into L.A.,
which is not very much fun.

Also if anybody else has a really good California antenna ordinance,
please mail it to me.

Thank you all for the help on this one.
