GE>Yep - as I pointed out about the cable clamps.

GE>typical stainless steel 90,000 psi
GE>Grade 5 SAE 120,000 psi
GE>Grade 8 SAE 150,000 psi

George,

I'd like to mention that Glenn-Martin Engineering's HAZER aluminum
towers (guyed) use stainless steel bolts throughout. (The tower section
are not tubular but rather aluminium angle irons formed at 60 degree
angles. This solves the water/ice splitting problem.)

My 70' HAZER tower is rated at 87 mph with 15 square foot of antenna.
By the way, the HAZER assembly on this tower rides up and down on
separate heavy angle iron (aluminum) tracks which nearly add an fourth
and fifth "leg" in terms of stiffness.

In keeping with K7LXC's advice, "do what the mfg'r says.. and use their
hardware", I'd like to note this exception to the blanket statement of
not using SS hardware.
