I have a parallel dipole made out of 300 ohm twin lead. The 80M portion
of the antenna works fine. The 40M part is cut to resonance in free
space, but the linear loading from the 80M element causes the 40M dipole
to resonate somewhere way outside the 40M band. Any clues as to how
much to shorten th 40M element so it will resonate on 40M? Is it
possible with such close spacing? Please reply directly. Thanks.
