Plumbers use a set of internal and external
brushes to clean copper pipe and sweat connectors
before they solder them. They are available in
different sizes at plumbing supply stores and
work nicely to clean the inside of the element
ends before applying your Oxguard or Penetrox and
then sliding the inner element in and out a few
times before clamping the connection.
