Attended the DX Convention in Fresno last weekend and made a great
discovery! The WireMan has a pre-made-up (in blister pack, no less)
8-conductor pigtail set ready to connect to your Ham IV/V or TailTwister. It
consists of a male and female set of connectors (that look like the trailer
type and they're polarized) already attached to about 12 inches of
8-conductor. You start by simply snipping the wire in two. One end goes on
the terminal strip of the rotator and the other pigtail end can be joined to
your existing rotator control cable (solderless butt connectors work real
well). Plug them together when you're done, weatherproof them real well and
- voila! A simple solution to the Hy-Gain quick disconnect problem. And
they're only $10.00 per pigtail. The workmanship is good; they look
professionally done. Why didn't someone think of this before?

After the recent thread on this topic, here is a solution that everyone
can use and appreciate. Contact Press the WireMan or Joe, K5KT, at
K5KT@aol.com, 310-541-5495.
