THE ONLY EFFECTIVE AND CORRECT WAY TO HOLD A FREQUENCY IS THE FACT THAT
YOU HAVE MORE PILE UP (ANSWERS) AND YOU HEAR BETTER THAN YOUR "COMPETITOR".

TO HAVE MORE PILE UP YOU NEED, YES TO HAVE A STRONG SIGNAL, BUT THE SAME
IMPORTANT IS TO COPY WELL AND EASY THE MOST OF THE CALLERS, WEAK ONES
INCLUDED, F/B AND PATTERN HELPS A LOT...

IN THE CASE YOU GET SOME DELIBERATE QRM FROM SOMEONE THAT'S MORE INTERESTED
TO HOLD A FREQUENCY THAN TO KEEP UP CONTEST RATES, THE BEST IS TO QSY...

...IF YOU HAVE A GOOD SIGNAL/HEARS YOU'LL HAVE YOUR PILE UP ANY FREQUENCY.

I WOULD MAXIMIZE WAVE ANGLE (RAISING, STACKING) RATHER GETTING MAD FOR SOME
MORE DB WHEN F/B IS ALREADY AROUND 20 DB, IF THE AIM IS A GOOD OPERATION
IN "EXTRA CONTINENTAL TRAFFIC".

BUT, IF YOU MADE W4 AS WEAK AS POSSIBLE....ALSO THEY WON'T COPY YOU SO STRONG.

HERE, IN SOUTHERN EU, ALL THE REST OF THE CONTINENT IS ON THE SAME BEAMING
TO N.AMERICA, BUT PILE UPS AND FREQ. SEEMS NOT TO BE A PROBLEM....
