Re: butt-spliced poles
If anyone is ever in Palo Alto (southwest part of the SF Bay Area), you can
see these type of poles. They are right along Highway 101 on the east side,
between San Antonio Road and the Embarcadero/Oregon Expressway exits. They
belong to Globe Wireless and are in use every day. Besides these poles that
are 150-200' high, there are numerous other "normal" poles. They all
are used to support various wire arrays.
