I believe that the broadcast tower accident referred to in Alabama actually
occurred in Jackson, MS. It was a 2000 ft stick and was an NBC affiliate,
with a PBS stn antenna sidemounted. The tower company was from Canada and
it is my understanding that the three riggers killed were from Canada. The
tower was being strengthened, guy wires changed out. A side brace was
being replaced near the top and the tower opened up. Apparently came
straight down in about 5 seconds.
