be careful of this. i mentioned this a while ago and was soundly ragged on
for a while. this lead to element polishing and anti static sheet
application. i had a serious question and got nothing but joke answers. my
thoughts are along the line of yours. with all this talk of rivets vs.
clamps, a bit of tig welding looks like an answer. get it tuned and touch
the joints. getting it apart is easier than with rivets. just erase the
weld with a grinder, or cut behind the weld with a tubing cutter, just the
outside part. having done metal fabrication for a long time, this seems
