i'm just the opposite of k7lxc. i never wear gloves unless it's below 0
degrees f. i work with my hands and am outside all day. this has given me
hands that are used to extereme weather. my wife says my hands have more
callus than most people's feet. i think it's a matter of personal
preference. just keep in mind that metal drains heat away from skin faster
than air and frostbite is a real danger in very cold weather.
