I've had a C4XL up for a few months, just confirmed what I thought I saw
earlier last night. When it's dry the resonant point for the 40 meter
section is around 7.070mhz - last night was wet and maybe a little ice,
the resonant point dropped to 7.000 or maybe a little below. The dry
swr at 7.070 is about 1.6, the wet swr is at 7.000 is 1.1.
Is this normal? The 20-10 portion of the antenna works fine.
