Pat:
Are you sure that the original configuration for that LP1017
called for a balun ? I inherited one (never actually put it
up, ended up giving it to K5NA when I left Woodstock, NY)
years ago, and seem to remember the instructions requiring
the coax to be run through the phasing tubes up and down the
antenna for decoupling.
