Yes and I might add that I don't leave any real tension on my cable so
the entire assy normally rests on the lock. I have had no problems and
don't anticipate any do to the sturdy design of the lock. I would not be
afraid to climb the tower with a broken cable.

The Hazer has a positive lock which engages a rung on the tower, as so it
can NOT be lowered or fall without tripping the lock.
