A few months ago there was an article in 73 magazine about using multi
conductor wire such as romex with the ends connected together to give
3-4 times the length of the actual wires and was fed by open wire.

The general idea is the bottom wire is fed which is connected to the
bare ground wire at the far end which is connected to the top wire back
in the center with the high voltage end out away from the feed point.
Would something like this be more efficient than a comparable length
shortened single conductor? Does the zigging back & forth hurt the
efficiency, where we are considering putting one up about 100' is the
max length there is room for & sure would be nice to do 160 from there.
Any ideas?
