Hi Rick,
I think the reason why they won't say is because what you are proposing is
far from the way Rohn envisioned anyone using 25G. You won't get any
opinions about this from me either, except to scrap the whole idea and go
with something more conventional. How about some alternatives:
1. Rohn makes a tilt over. Bite the bullet and buy one. I know its
expensive but you are paying for a lot of engineering that went into it.
2. Look seriously at a crankup if you REALLY have to have a tower that
comes down to the ground. They make those with tilt over features too. I
know they are expensive. Engineering, etc. . . . (Incidentally, this is the
only time I can ever remember actually suggesting someone consider buying a
crankup.)
3. Get over the idea that you don't want to climb a tower.
4. Get a friend to climb it for you.
5. Hire a professional climber.
6. Use a vertical.
7. Take up photography instead.
8. Hire a real Professional Engineer to design this system for you.
There just is no "cheap" and safe way to do what you want to do. You have
probably heard the old saying about pilots: "There are old pilots and there
are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots." Same for tower
builders. "There are cheap tower builders and there are safe tower
builders, but there are no cheap, safe tower builders."
