Hello all, I hope everyone who went had a great time in Dayton. My
parents have told me that when I turn 18, I can go :).
Anyway, I'm starting to plan the summer's antenna projects, and I've
been looking at the Butternut HF vertical series. I've heard a few good
things about the HF2V. I might have to ground mount any vertical I get,
but there's a chance I could get it mounted at 10 feet or maybe even
roof-mount it at around 30 feet.
I'm looking for opinions on it, I think I should only need 40 & 80, and
I'd like to know if anyone's tried the 160 add-on that Butternut puts
out. I know that above 40, verticals aren't the greatest, so I don't
know that I want to spend the extra money for the shorter HF6V or HF9V.
I need some sort of decent low-band setup :).
