It's the ten turn pot in the motor assy. He used to use a Clarostat (it's a
black case) and now uses a blue Bourns pot that is supposed to be somewhat
water resistant. Both are available in the Digikey catalog.
500 ohm, 10 turn, 1/4" shaft...

Subject: [TowerTalk] TIC RIngrotor indicator problem
The indicator on my TIC Ringrotor is starting to act up again -
needle starts jumping around and rotor stops turning. I believe I
read somewhere that TIC was working on a fix, like a different kind
of indicator pot. Anyone know if they ever came up with something
that keeps on TICking?
