Three points of interest:
Trylon has been in business since the 1940's. In 1952 the company was owned
by Wind Turbine Company of West Chester, PA. Later we find them in Up state
NY and now in Canada but still with a NY address along with an Ontario address.
Rohn bought their push up mast series from J.F.D. in 1951. 20 to 50 foot 16
or 20 guage push up masts. Channel master (General Cement) also made push
up masts.
The first commercial rotating tower was the "Clement" Tower in 1981. Made
by Tri-Ex and W6KPC. W0SYK, W5RHW, and several W6's had homebrew rotating
towers in the 50's. I passed as the 120' Clement tower was around $8K and
took well over 1.5 acres with the guys.
