We do what we feel we have to do and can afford to do.  However, there truly
is only one bottom line:
   LIGHTNING GOES WHERE IT WANTS, WHEN IT WANTS.

Height of a structure and/or surrounding structures, composition of the struck
object (wood, metal, etc) are moot.  I have witnessed more strikes than I care
to count, and well over 50% of them break the "rules."
