This is a very specific question about guy wires and setback requirements
for towers in your town. If you have no tower, you may ignore the rest
of this message.I am helping a ham try to erect a tower. We want to put
ONE guy wire within the town's 40 foot sideyard setback. If your
building inspector allowed you, or someone you know, to do this, at a
present location, or a prior one, please tell me the name of the town (if
you really want to be helpful, please tell me the name and phone number
of the inspector). This is normally a matter of discretion by the building
inspector, and is not a matter which appears in a bylaw. However, if
your town bylaw specifically allows guy wires to fall within the sideyard
or rear setback, the would be very interesting.Thanks.Fred Hopengarten
