I remember a story about a farmer in some rural midwest area. His face
was not symetrical, one eye higher than the other, he had unkempt hair.
He usually smelled bad, and dressed worse. His speech was lispy, his
grammer was bad, and his handwriting was nearly unreadable. His house
was ramshackle and his mailbox bent. The kids told wild stories about
him. Due probably to all the above, he had never married. This fueled
other rumors.

However, folks began to notice that his crops were steady, most
noticable in marginal years. His fields always looked the best. The
smart folks in those parts began asking him what, when and how he was
going to plant, which proved very profitable. In time, the stories and
rumors disappeared, and folks accepted him for who he was.

I thought this was a reflector on tower-related technical issues. I
would listen to K7LXC correct spelling or not. And I want to hear
people's experiences, correct spelling or not.

Isn't there a newsgroup alt.spelling.mangled.english or something for
this stuff?

Back to guy wires & wind loadings...

73, Guy.
