Hi everyone --

I'm planning to reguy a 22-year-old Rohn 45 200-footer with all 14" guy
wires (got a deal on it), even though the Rohn catalog only specifies
1/4" for the top guys, 3/16" for the lower four.

Does anyone know any reason not to do this, i.e., to stick to the
smaller 3/16" wires? Is the extra weight a problem?

Finally, any reason not to use the "big grips" in lieu of old-fashioned
cable clamps? There are a number of good-sized commercial antennas on
this tower, as well as our ham stuff.

Thanks & 73,
Bob Lovell KK4TD [pizzabob@twlakes.net]
