How does the Explorer 14 handle ice? Great. Mine has been up for 10 years
without a problem. Its been ice coated several times and the SWR gets a
little shabby but the ice melts in a day or so and the Explorer keeps on
ticking. Never have had a trap problem or broken element. And in
Minnesota we know big winds in both the summer and winter and real ice storms!

The Exp 14 is broad across the bands but the beam width is nice and narrow and
really is effective. Truly built well.
