One thing I notice is, when using a fiberglass or non-metallic crossboom,
the installer often runs the coaxial feedline right along the crossboom.
The feedline (when routed along the fiberglass crossboom) makes the
fiberglass an almost useless addition, since the feedline is now in the
very same position and will have virtually the same unwanted effects as the
metal boom.

With that in mind, what is done to prevent the feedline from causing the
very same problem the metal support causes?? Do you route the feedline out
behind the reflectors a fair distance, bring it out at right angles to the
elements for a few wavelengths, or what??
