Need some help here with interference. Local came by and thought I was
interferring with his TV reception on Ch39. Good trick since I was not even
at home during the period in question. In the interest of good PR, decided
to give the OM a hand. We exchanged phone numbers with instructions to him
to call me when he experienced it again. Well, about 5pm he called with the
following observations. Modulation bars across ch 39; no interference on any
other channels. He uses external antenna, ch 39 is about 60 miles S, SE of
qth. His house is about 1/2 mile south of me. What is puzzling is that
sometimes the modulation stops but there is interference on his screen that
looks like a steady carrier. He has tried Radio Shack filters, etc.
What freq is ch 39? Harmonic of which ham freq, if any?
Could this be common mode via ac line?
