Twelve feet is plenty and don't worry about the orientation. Point the
antennas the same way and you'll be fine. The KLM 4L 40M was the antenna that
seemed to suffer degradation that necessitated the 90 degree off-set but the
CC has been fine in all the installations that I'm familiar with.
