Haven't seen this posted before. There is a program on the ARRL
FTP/BBS site called "NSHADOW" that will give you the exact time of
"high noon" for any give lat/long and day of the year. Pick a sunny
day, determine the exact time of high noon, and at that time the
shadow of your tower point to north (true)
