I am considering stacking a KT34XA, 12/17 duo-bander and Cushcraft 2el =
40 in that order with the tribander on the bottom on a 20 ft mast (16ft =
out of top of tower). I thought I had it all figured out by keeping the =
tribander and 40m beam as far apart as possible...But NO.....
Now I have read a couple of reports of interaction between 17 and 40 =
meters! Apparently one of the 40m elements is 1/2 wavelength at 18mhz.=20
I am open to comments and ideas. I can only do one tower. I currently =
have up a KT34XA and the goal is to maintain my current signal on the =
three bands while picking up 12/17 and 40. I am not hung up on any one =
antenna in terms of manufacture and will consider others than the ones I =
have mentioned. Has anyone done the stack I want to duplicate? =
Gentlemen, any ideas or comments? Please reply direct to me as I do not =
want to tie up reflector.
