Hi Tom:

Very informative. Could you expand a bit more on the solenoid windings. 
Do you mean winding each feed line a few turns before connecting it to 
the bulkhead ? 

At my installation, I do have a grounded bulkhead where all the antenna 
feedlines enter the house. But all the utilities (water, gas, telephone, 
etc.) enter the house at another location and they are all grounded to 
the cold water pipe. My antenna feed cables are not direct buried but 
they are inside a PVC pipe which is burried between the tower and the 
bulkhead. The bulkhead, and the tower are connected to a single 
grounding system consists of 4 ground rods connected in a star 
configuration beside the tower. The grounding system is not connected to 
the cold water pipe. Any comments ?
