While doing some work on my tower during the Christmas Holidays, I noticed
that the hardware on my Force 12 C-3 tribander was rusting. The antenna has
been only up for about 18 months and I was a little surprised. I do live in
a fairly hostile environment, about 75 miles from the gulf coast of Texas. I
talked to Natan and he told me that the hardware is not stainless steel as I
assumed. He also told me that a set of stainless steel hardware was
available for an extra charge. Since I don't see it advertised in the
lastest catalogue that I have, I thought that I might suggest that you
purchase the stainless steel hardware when purchasing the antenna. I have no
idea what this costs.
This is not a reflection on the antenna. I am very impressed with the C-3's
performance, ease of construction, and "light weightedness". I guess I
should not have assumed that the hardware was stainless.
