I have used a "modified" prop pitch for years turning a TH6DXX and a
40-2CD.  I got it cheap even before I had my first tower installed.  I
didn't know a thing about prop pitches then.  I have since had a
considerable education.  Mine has always turned the array just fine
even in high winds and ice.  My antennas are not really considered
"big" however.  The problem with my original modified unit was that
the "modification" was not properly done and I had some mechanical
problems which required my to have some parts machined to solve the
matter.  I have since obtained a "virgin" un-modified unit but never
swapped them yet.  Knowing what I know now, I'd start with un-modified
unit.
