Hello All,
Sorry, but I've about decided that I must have bad breath or perhaps my
question was off topic and didn't deserve an answer. When I posed my
question about mounting the rotor above the pole, I didn't receive ANY
replies.
I hope I've not done anything to offend anyone.
On other occasions when I have gotten replies I have ALWAYS reponded to
those replies with personal e-mails thanking them for taking the time to
reply. On occasions when I thought I had something to offer, I have
responded to others in a similar fashion.
I am by no means an expert on towers and antennas. I do not have an EE
degree and don't try to answer questions when others obviously know more
about the subject.
I am, however, not totally ignorant in all aspects of life. I did manage
to spend 30 yrs teaching Chemistry and computer related courses. I have
built a number of fold-over poles for amateur use. I managed to teach my
son enough amateur radio material that he was able to proceed from novice
to extra class in less than 6 months. He got his Extra at the age of nine.
If my questions are stupid or off subject please let me know. I will be
happy to refrain from asking any more. I will, however, continue to read
the questions and answers offered forth by more knowledgeable hams.

Sincerely, JIm KC5FR
