Hi John!

Don't worry about dealing with F12 - they WILL get back to you. I
have a C31XR and they have been VERY helpful, before and after the
sale. I've been pestering them with questions on their other beams,
so who knows, maybe my questions are delaying yours! :)

After putting my C31XR up (72') here's what I measured:

Freq SWR
14 1.5
14.1 1.4
14.2 1.4
14.3 1.6
14.4 1.9
21 1.8
21.1 2
21.2 2.3
21.3 2.7
21.4 3
21.5 3.6

As you can imagine, I was alarmed at the 15m numbers. 20m wasn't
great, either. A quick response from F12 suggested that I tape the
two wires between the 20 and 10M (? maybe 15) driven elements together
so they are about 1/4" apart. After doing this, here's what I got:

Freq SWR
14 1.8
14.1 1.5
14.2 1.4
14.3 1.5
14.4 1.5
21 1.1
21.1 1.2
21.2 1.4
21.3 1.7
21.4 2.2
21.5 2.7

I imagine if I fiddled even more the high-end of 15 might improve,
but I'm not really worried about it. The antenna is a CHAMP, and I
consistently get excellent reports.

Let me know if you have any questions - I'd like to keep in touch
with other C31XR owners!

GL es 73!
