I just got done assembling a CC XM-240. It is right now at a height of
18ft above ground (for test purposes), I checked the SWR using my only
test apparatus (my transceiver) and found the lowest SWR to be at 6.880
Mhz 1.3/1 & at 6.980 to be at 2/1. The half element lengths were
assembled for CW portion at 7.025 Mhz which in this case has an SWR of
3/1.
Does that mean once the antenna at its intended height of 75 ft it will
resonate to the desired frequency or I should go back and shorten the
elements?
Early replies will be highly appreciated.
