Sometimes 10 feet can make a difference. My property lies across two
counties.

County one: Requires full "limited development permit" complete with wet
sealed engineering drawings and information sheets about invertebrate
conservation and warbler habitat, which is followed up not only by building
inspectors but the "salamander police" who check to make sure your
"environmental practices" are good.

County two: "If you ain't puttin' in no septic, you don't' need no permit."

>But, you may live in a county that makes a big deal over little
>(under 200 ft) towers.

Or you could live in Jefferson County WV, where ham towers are not
restricted by height (other structures have a 35-foot height limit) and do
not require a building permit. The only requirement here is that the base
of your tower be 50 feet or more from the property line (regardless of
height). Oh, there is no inspection.

Cell towers are restricted here, but not hams, fire, police, etc.

Can you spell boondocks, boys and girls?
