This just to clearify things a bit. I´m not taking away
any credit from K3BU in the respect of the scores he did
back then.
What I react on is the claim of performance that was done
on the particular antenna and the unfair comments toward
W8Ji when he tried to analyse it from a technical/professional
standpoint.
Even if those razor things was down 2 dB in gain due to
different things Yuri would have had a big signal and
consequently make good scores since he was a good operator.
Stacking anything on booms that long is producing quite
a bit of gain, even if it`s down by 2 to 3 dB it will
produce a bunch.
We can leave all the anecdotal stories behind, like I
was this or that stronger than he or she 30 years ago.
These days it´s nothing but fiction, sure belive me I have
a bunch of stories like that to tell too but as I see it
it´s not the point, or thats not the issue in this case.
