Have you read the posts on refurbishing TH6's?
If not, here are the major points as I remember them:
Highly recommended that you disassemble the traps,
clean out the debris left by insects, clean and tighten
the screw connections.
Cleaning and re-gooping all the tubing joints with Penetrox
(formulated for AL joints) or AL-NO-OX is also a good idea.
Then, get some good Scotch 33 (or 88) black electrical
tape and wrap the trap covers to prevent future UV deterioration.
Pull the tape on under tension to form over the different diameters.
Use less tension on the last turn to prevent "flagging" i.e.
maximize adhesion at the end of the tape.
Oh yes, any good Fastener Supply store (see Yellow Pages)
should have stainless steel bolts and screws in the same
sizes used in all the clamps etc. For the boom to mast clamp
it is probably best NOT to use stainless steel which is not as
strong as the standard bolts. Galvanized would be good if you
can find it.
