Richard,

I agree with Tom and Brian.  I had a 3 element quad for many years and I
used #12 electric motor wire and nylon tubing for strain relief at each
spreader tie point.  This allows the wire to slip and slide in the
wind.  I never had a broken wire.  Also, the coax relay box on the boom
and one feed line is the way to go.
