That is called Very Smart innovation after the major one requirement of
engaging your brain into operation and getting THE JOB AT HAND DONE OUT
OF NECESSITY.
A lot of the problems as to raising the towers, masts, tilt overs,
bases, gin poles, safety gear, bases (concrete) is that a lot of people
forget the use of common sense in 90% and the remaing 10% in plin old
not reading a lot of the ARRL and Company information that is mostly
available for the asking (LIKE FREE TO THE EL CHEAPO'S THAT WANT A 10
PLUS SAFETY INSTALLION BUT WILL NOT PAY FOR THE ALL INCLUSISE COST
INVOLVED TO DO IT SAFELT.)
For some of the ideas presented and a lot of VERY VALID answers provided
to do it correctly, IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN due to the posted response
in a lot of the problems BECAUSE THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A CHEAP way out.
A crane in the erection of a tower and the capability og being in a OSHA
mn cage or better yet in a full body harness of being able to tweak the
individual elements to make the antennas really perform. the cost of the
crane is a very cheap and very efficient way to do the job.
If you are professional antenna rigger, tower man, that becomes another
story.
But since they are not Superman or SuperWoman you still cannot go out on
the boom and then out onto the element to give it a love kiss to make it
really radiate.
With the crane you do it all at the operating hieght of the antenna and
it is now TWEAKED TO where it should be.
